🇮🇹 Martin Fahrner

 Head Coach

 

Born 27. August 1993 in Meran (ITA)

Martin began skiing at the age of 2 and showed a natural talent for the sport. However, due to various injuries, he ended his career as a skier prematurely and developed a keen interest in becoming a ski coach.

 

 

He spent three years at the sports high school in Schlanders, but for the last two years, he switched to the Economy high school and successfully completed his studies. 


Martin is fluent in English and proficient in managing media-related tasks, including social media, as well as planning and organizing for the WRA. Despite his young age, he possesses extensive experience in the ski industry.

In 2017, Martin's coaching skills were recognized when he was honored as one of the top Italian coaches by the Italian ski magazine Solowattaggio. Since 2018, he has been leading the entire World Racing Academy as its director.

🇮🇹 Patrick Renner

2nd Coach

Patrick's skiing journey began at the age of 2, and he remained an active ski racer in our team until 2016.

However, due to a severe and prolonged injury, he made the decision to transition to the coaching team at WRA in 2017.

After attending high school in Mals, Patrick successfully graduated from a sports school where he primarily focused on skiing for five years.

During his active Alpine skiing career, Patrick also participated in

ski-cross races, achieving success at the Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck, where he secured an impressive 8th place finish.

 

In Alpine skiing, he became the Junior Italian champion in 2014 and accumulated 20 podium finishes in other ski races.

His talent as a ski racer earned him widespread recognition throughout the country, serving as an exemplary figure for young athletes.

Aside from his role at the World Racing Academy, Patrick has attained the highest level of certification as a ski instructor and ski coach. Furthermore, he is currently pursuing a degree in sports management in Austria.

🇮🇹 Daniel Fahrner

Head Coach Junior Team

 

Born 24. April 1971 in Schlanders (ITA)

Daniel showed great promise as a skier until an unfortunate injury cut short his skiing career. Determined to stay involved in the sport, he decided to pursue a new path as a ski coach.

 

He developed the E-coach, conducted tests on Rossignol ski boots, and even established his own ski rental business.

Dani is an emotionally invested, highly experienced coach who puts his whole heart into his work. Currently, he holds the position of leading the Junior Team at WRA.

During his free time, Dani enjoys playing tennis and golf. With over 20 years of experience in the ski industry, his track record speaks for itself.

 

Achievements and stations as ski coach:

  • 2006 he founded the ski team Moldova including: Urs Imboden, Christophe Roux and Sascha Gritsch.
  • 2006 he started to work with Urs Imboden. At the beginning Urs was Nr. 60 of the world, at the end of his career he was 18th in the WCSL.
  • In 2010 Dani had the idea to start a private racing team, the WRA. With professional ski racers from all over the world.
  • 2012 Dani transferred with Martin to the ski federation of Liechtenstein (woman) and he improved all racers in their FIS-points.
  • 2013 he decided to work with his son Martin again at the World Racing Academy, with a lot of success:
  • Phillipp Schmid was sorted out of the German national team, Dani brought him back to the German A-team.
  • Dominik Stehle was sorted out of the German national team, Dani brought Domi back to the German A-team.
  • Riccardo Tonetti was sorted out from the Italian national team, Dani brought im back to the A-team. Tonno won the European Cup overall & Slalom standing 2015 when he was working with us.
  • Also Patrick Thaler was sorted out from the Italian squad. 2010 Thali was number 45 in the WCSL ranking, Dani brought him back into the Top-7 of the world (Slalom), with 2 WC-Podiums in Slalom.
  • 2014/2015/2016/2017 he worked for the Czech Ski Association as Head-coach
  • 2018/2019 he worked as a base coach for trainings in Winter at the WRA
  • 2019/2020 Head coach WRA Junior group and as our base coach

🇮🇹 Martin Nardelli

3rd Coach / Service guy

Martin first put on skis as a child and grew up in a family of sports enthusiasts. His older sister paved the way for him, starting as an athlete, then becoming a ski instructor and a FISI federal trainer. However, it was his father who truly instilled him a deep passion for snow and mountain sports.

He began his competitive journey close to home, joining the Ski Team Paganella and achieving good results from the start.

At the age of 16, he joined the Trentino FISI Committee team, exclusively participating in national and international competitions thereafter.


In order to continue his studies while pursuing alpine skiing at a high level, he took the entrance exam for the Technical Institute for the economic sector located in Mals. This renowned school, known as the best sports school in Italy, only admits students based on their sports achievements, and all subjects are taught in German. 

Subsequently, he enrolled in the Faculty of Exercise and Sport Sciences in Verona, where he participated in their "Academic Coach" program designed for high-level athletes. This program provided him with a dedicated "Tutor" who assisted him in balancing his studies and sports commitments.

During the summer of 2019, he worked at the Dolomiti di Brenta ski school in Andalo as an MTB/E-BIKE escort and also at their rental shop. In the summer of 2020, he worked at the Segnana Surf Group, a rental shop for windsurfing, stand-up paddleboarding, and canoeing. In the summer of 2021, he returned to Andalo and worked at the renowned rental shop called "Danger Zone," which also operates a specialized team for trail building.

During the winter season of 2021/22, he worked as a ski instructor at the Kristal Ski School in Andalo.

Since the season of 2022/23,  Martin is part of our team as third coach and ski technician.

In 2021, Paul joined our team as an assistant Coach. He is a dedicated and passionate individual who takes great joy in working with the team. Additionally, Paul's background as a mountain rescuer makes him the designated person responsible for ensuring safety on the hill.

Whenever assistance is needed, Paul is always the go-to person to rely on.
